A detail is not a quick wash

Most cars in Sonipat get washed at a roadside stall with a pressure jet and a cloth that has already done twenty cars that morning. The car looks clean from a distance. Up close, under a phone torch or in the afternoon sun, you see fine circles all over the bonnet and doors. Those are swirl marks, and almost all of them come from washing.

Detailing works the other way round. We loosen dirt before anything touches the paint, pull out what is bonded to it, then polish and protect. Inside, we take dust out of the seats, carpets and vents instead of pushing it around. It takes hours, not minutes, and the difference shows for weeks.

How we wash and decontaminate the paint

This is the order every car goes through before any polishing starts.

  1. Snow foam pre-wash

Thick foam sits on the car for a few minutes and softens the dust, mud and bird droppings. We rinse it off before a mitt touches the paint, so most of the grit leaves with the water.

  2. Wheels and tyres first

Brake dust and road grime on the wheels get their own brushes and bucket. Nothing used on the wheels goes near the body panels.

  3. Two-bucket hand wash

One bucket holds shampoo, the other holds clean rinse water for the mitt. The mitt is rinsed after every panel so grit is not dragged across the next one.

  4. Iron remover

Sprayed on the paint and wheels, it reacts with the tiny iron particles from brake dust and industrial areas and turns purple as it dissolves them.

  5. Clay bar

A lubricated clay bar glides over each panel and lifts tar, overspray and grime that washing leaves behind. After clay, the paint feels smooth as glass under your fingertips.

  6. Drying without scratches

We dry with soft microfibre towels and blown air around the mirrors, grille and badges, so water does not run out later and leave streaks.

Machine polish comes after the clay

Once the surface is clean, we look at the paint under studio lights. Light swirls, water spots and haze come out with a single-stage machine polish, which is part of the Gold package. Deeper wash marks need a cutting step and a finishing step, which is the two-stage correction in Platinum.

We check paint thickness before polishing, especially on panels that have been repainted. If a scratch is too deep to polish out safely, we tell you rather than thinning the clear coat. For heavier work, see our paint correction page.

Inside the cabin and under the bonnet

The interior and engine bay get as much attention as the paint in Gold and Platinum.

Vacuum and wipe-down

Seats, carpets, boot and every gap are vacuumed, and the dashboard, console and glass are wiped clean. This is part of every package.

Steam cleaning

Hot steam loosens grime from seats, door panels, AC vents and pillars without soaking them. It also kills the smell that builds up in a closed car during summer.

Carpet shampoo and extraction

Carpets are shampooed and the dirty water is pulled back out with an extractor, so they dry faster and do not go musty.

Seats and odour

Leather is cleaned and conditioned so it does not crack in the heat, and fabric seats are deep cleaned. An odour treatment deals with food, smoke and damp smells.

Engine bay

In Platinum, the engine bay is degreased, rinsed carefully, dried with air and dressed. A clean engine bay also makes oil leaks easy to spot.

How often to detail a car in Sonipat

For a car that lives in Sonipat and does a mix of city driving and the odd NH-44 run, a Silver detail once a month keeps it clean without letting dirt build up. Add a Gold detail every three to four months to take off the bonded grime and polish out the wash marks before they pile up.

If you park near construction or in the industrial areas around Rai and Kundli, shorten that. Silver every three to four weeks and Gold every two to three months works better there. Platinum makes most sense once a year, before selling the car, or on a new car before it gets a coating.

The months after the monsoon and after stubble season are when cars need it most. Mud dries in the wheel arches, and ash and dust settle into the paint and AC vents. For a deeper cabin clean on its own, see interior detailing.

Pickup and drop is free on Gold and Platinum packages within Sonipat. Prices for every package are on the price list.

Questions people ask

How long will my car be in the studio?

Silver takes about 2 to 3 hours and Gold about 5 to 7 hours. Platinum needs 1 to 2 days because of the two-stage correction and the drying time between steps. We give you a pickup time when you drop the car.

Which package should I choose for my car?

If the car is washed regularly and just needs a proper clean, Silver is enough. If the paint feels rough to the touch or the cabin smells, go for Gold. Platinum suits older cars, cars about to be sold and new cars going in for a coating.

Will a detail remove scratches?

Gold removes light swirls and haze with a single-stage polish, and Platinum handles deeper wash marks with two-stage correction. A scratch your fingernail catches in usually goes through the clear coat and needs touch-up or dent and paint work instead.

Do you clean the engine bay in every package?

Engine bay detailing is part of Platinum. On Silver or Gold you can add it when you book, and we will cover the electrics and air intake before rinsing.

When are you open?

We are open Monday to Saturday, 9 AM to 7 PM, and closed on Sunday. Call +91 70561 03055 to book a slot, especially on Saturdays, which fill up first.
