PPF for new cars on Kharkhoda roads
The industrial township is still being built, and the roads carry the gravel and dust to prove it. We fit self-healing paint protection film at our Sonipat studio, about 25 km away.
A town that is changing fast
Kharkhoda has changed more in the last few years than in the twenty before. IMT Kharkhoda and the Maruti Suzuki plant have brought new jobs, new homes and a lot of new cars. They have also brought dumpers, cement mixers and trailers onto roads that were built for tractors and buses.
Construction traffic is the worst kind for paint. Loads are often uncovered, the roads near building sites have loose gravel on the shoulders, and fine cement dust hangs in the air on dry, windy days. A new car can pick up its first chips in its first week.
Winter brings its own trouble. Fog and dew mix with the dust overnight and dry into a hard, muddy film by morning. Wiping that off before driving to work is how most fine scratches start, and on a dark car they show in the first month.

Gloss, matte or a new colour
Most owners pick clear gloss film, which keeps the paint looking the way it did at delivery. Matte film gives a satin look over gloss paint, and colour PPF changes the shade of the whole car while protecting the original paint under it.

The drive to our Sonipat studio
We do not have a studio in Kharkhoda. The car comes to our Sonipat head office, about 25 km away via the Kharkhoda to Sonipat road, which usually takes 35 to 45 minutes. Plenty of owners combine the trip with errands in Sonipat.
If you would rather not make the drive twice, ask for pickup and drop when you book. We work Monday to Saturday, 9 AM to 7 PM.
What we do to the car
Cement and site dust need careful removal before any film goes on.
Check the paint
We look at every panel with you and mark anything already there, including chips from the first weeks of driving.
Remove bonded dust
Foam wash, iron remover and clay lift cement specks and grit that a normal wash leaves behind.
Polish where needed
Any light swirls are corrected so they do not end up trapped under the film.
Fit and finish
Film is laid wet, worked out with a squeegee and wrapped at edges. We check it again before handover.
Care in dry, windy weather
On windy days the car will be covered in grit by evening. Do not wipe it off dry. Rinse first, then wash with a clean mitt and a pH-neutral shampoo, and skip the first wash for a week after fitting.
Some owners add a ceramic coating over the film so dust slides off with water. For the windows, window tinting helps on cars parked at the plant all day.
PPF comes with a written warranty, up to 5 years depending on the film. Coverage prices are on the price list.
Questions people ask
How long does it take to reach your studio from Kharkhoda?
It is about 25 km, usually 35 to 45 minutes depending on traffic. Pickup and drop can be arranged on request.
Should I get PPF on a brand new car straight away?
If you can, yes. Film fitted before the first chips appear keeps the factory paint as it was. If the car has a few weeks of chips already, we can still fit film, but those chips stay visible underneath.
Can cement dust damage the film?
Cement dust left wet on any surface can stain. On film it usually washes off, but do not let it sit for days. Rinse it off with plenty of water rather than wiping.
I work at the plant and park in the open. Is that a problem?
Sun does not harm good TPU film, and the heat helps it heal light scratches. Dust is the bigger issue, so wash the car properly every week or two.
Is full body film worth it here?
For most cars, full front is enough. Full body makes sense for a new car you plan to keep a long time, or a dark colour that shows every mark.
Does PPF change how the car looks?
Clear gloss film keeps the car looking as it did at delivery, with a slight extra depth to the shine. From normal distance, most people cannot tell it is there. Matte and colour film do change the look, which is the point of them.
