Paint correction for Kundli cars
Highway soot, factory dust and quick border-side washes leave Kundli paint swirled and grey. We correct it at our Sonipat studio, a short run up NH-44.
Kundli traffic and what it leaves on paint
Kundli sits where NH-44 meets the KMP Expressway, at the Delhi border. Trucks run through day and night, and the air carries diesel soot, brake dust and fine grit from the industrial plots in IMT Kundli. A car parked in a factory lot from 9 to 6 comes back with a grey film on it.
Most owners deal with that film the quick way, with a dry cloth or a cheap wash near the border on the way home. Both drag grit across the clear coat. Within a year, a dark car shows heavy circles in sunlight, and a white car starts to look dull and slightly yellow.
There is no DetailingRider studio in Kundli. Cars come to our Sonipat head office, which is close enough that many people drop the car on the way to work and pick it up on the way back.
What swirl removal looks like
Highway commuters' cars often look just like this before correction.

BeforeAfterWash swirls on a dark Mercedes bonnet, and the same panel after machine correction.
Stone chip or swirl, how to tell
Kundli cars usually have both, and they need very different fixes.
Swirls
Fine circles visible mainly in direct sun or under a torch. They sit in the clear coat and polish out.
Light scratches
Thin straight lines your fingernail slides over. Usually removable with a two stage correction.
Stone chips
Small craters on the bonnet front and bumper, often showing white or grey at the bottom. Polishing cannot fill them.
Soot film
A greasy grey layer that comes back days after a wash. It needs a proper decontamination before any polishing.
Correction levels in plain words
We look at the car first, then suggest the lightest level that works.
| Level | What it removes | Time at the studio |
|---|---|---|
| Single stage | Light swirls, haze, fresh water spots | Usually same day |
| Two stage | Most wash marks and light scratches | About a day |
| Three stage | Heavy swirls, dull or oxidised paint | One to two days |
Dropping your car from Kundli
This is how most Kundli customers fit correction around a working week.
Send a photo first
WhatsApp a couple of photos of the bonnet in sunlight on WhatsApp +91 72063 13033 so we can give a rough idea of the level.
Drop in the morning
Bring the car to the Sonipat studio before work. Pickup and drop can also be arranged on request.
Inspection and thickness check
We wash, decontaminate and measure every panel, then confirm the level and anything that cannot be polished out.
Collect and check
We show you the paint under the studio lights at handover, so you can see the result before you drive off.
When a mark needs paint, not polish
KMP and NH-44 throw gravel at the front of every car, so most Kundli bonnets carry chips. We can round off chip edges so they catch less light, but the crater stays. If you want them gone, the answer is touch-up or panel work through our dent and paint team.
Once the paint is corrected and the chips are dealt with, PPF on the front end stops the next round of gravel from undoing the work.
Please do not get the car rubbed at a roadside shop a week before you bring it in. Fresh filler hides the defects during inspection and makes the paint harder to judge.
Keeping a Kundli car clean without new swirls
Rinse the soot off with plenty of water before touching the paint, and use a separate mitt for the lower panels, which carry the worst grit. Never dry dust a car that has sat in a factory lot all day.
A ceramic coating after correction makes the soot film far easier to rinse away. Rates for each correction stage are on the price list.
Questions people ask
Is there a DetailingRider studio in Kundli?
No. Kundli cars come to our Sonipat head office, which is a short drive up NH-44. Pickup and drop can be arranged on request.
Can you polish out stone chips from the KMP Expressway?
Not fully. A chip is a missing piece of paint, so there is nothing to level. We can soften the edges, but filling needs touch-up paint.
My car looks grey again a few days after every wash. Is that the paint?
Usually it is a bonded soot and fallout film, not the paint itself. An iron remover and clay bar take it off, and correction then removes the swirls left behind by months of wiping it.
I bought my car only a year ago. Does it need correction?
Many one year old cars already have swirls from dealer washes and daily dusting. A single stage polish is often enough at this age, and it is the right time to add a coating.
Can I wait at the studio while it is done?
For a single stage job on a small car you can, though it takes several hours. For two and three stage work it is easier to drop the car and collect it later.
Will an automatic brush wash undo the correction?
Yes, over time. Brush washes are one of the main causes of swirls, so after correction a hand wash with clean mitts is the safer choice.
