Interior detailing for Murthal and NH-44 drivers

Paratha trips, takeaway lassi and hours on the highway leave the cabin greasy and smelling of food. Our Sonipat studio, a short run up NH-44 from Murthal, cleans it all out in a day.

What a dhaba trip leaves behind

Murthal is where half of Delhi stops for parathas. The food is great, but it does not always stay on the plate. A blob of white butter on the rear seat, a spilled glass of lassi in the cup holder, crumbs pushed into the gap between the seat and the console. Two days later, in a closed car in the sun, it all starts to smell.

Then there is the parking. Dhaba lots along NH-44 are dusty and crowded, and every time a door opens, dust and grit from the ground come in on shoes. Add a long drive behind trucks with the windows down at the toll plaza, and the cabin ends up with a grey film on every surface.

There is no DetailingRider studio in Murthal. Cars come to our Sonipat studio, which is close by on the same highway, so it is easy to drop the car in on the way to or from a Murthal stop.

Butter, ghee and food smells

Butter and ghee are fats, so they spread when you rub them with a wet tissue. On fabric seats we break the grease down with a cleaner made for oily stains, then steam and extract it. On leather, it wipes off more easily but still needs a proper clean and then conditioning, or it dries the leather out.

Food smell sits in the carpet and the seat foam, not in the air. Once the spill is cleaned out, an enzyme cleaner deals with what remains. If the smell has been in the car for weeks, an ozone treatment is the next step.

Sweet drinks are the worst for stickiness. Lassi and cold drinks get into seat rails and cup holders and attract dust, so we clean those parts by hand.

Where the mess usually is after a highway trip

On cars that do regular food stops, these are the spots we always check.

Between seat and console

Crumbs and fallen food collect in this gap and are almost impossible to reach without taking the time to do it properly.

Cup holders and door pockets

Dried drinks and tissue paper stick to the bottom and smell in the heat.

Rear seat and floor

Children eat in the back, and that is where most stains and wrappers end up.

Driver side carpet

Dust and gravel from dhaba parking lots get ground in under the pedals.

Dashboard and vents

Highway dust coats the top of the dashboard and builds up behind the vent slats.

Choosing the right interior job

Not every car needs the full treatment, and we will tell you honestly which one fits.

A typical day at the studio

Most cars are dropped in the morning and ready by evening.

  1. Walk round

We look at the stains and smells with you and note what matters most.

  2. Empty and vacuum

Mats out, every gap vacuumed, including under the seats and in the seat rails.

  3. Deep clean

Roof liner, seats, carpets, vents and dashboard cleaned from the top down.

  4. Dry and finish

Seats dried with fans, glass cleaned inside, mats back in.

If you drive NH-44 every week

Keep a small bin bag and a packet of wet wipes in the car for food stops, and eat at the dhaba table rather than in the car when you can. Shake the mats out after every long trip. Wipe the dashboard with a damp microfibre cloth once a week, so highway dust does not build up in the grain.

Long sunny drives also heat the cabin and fade the dashboard. Legal sun film helps, see window tinting in Murthal. For tar and bugs on the outside, look at car detailing in Murthal. Interior rates are on the price list.

Coming up from Delhi for a Murthal breakfast? Drop the car with us in the morning and pick it up clean on your way back in the evening.

Questions people ask

Is there a DetailingRider studio in Murthal?

No. Murthal cars are cleaned at our Sonipat studio, a short drive up NH-44. Pickup and drop can be arranged on request.

Can you get a butter stain out of a fabric seat?

Usually, yes. We break down the grease with a cleaner made for oily stains and then steam and extract it. The sooner it is cleaned, the better the result.

The car smells of food even after cleaning the mats. Why?

The smell is often in the carpet underneath or the seat foam, not the mats. A full interior detail with an enzyme cleaner reaches those layers.

Can I leave the car while I eat in Murthal?

The work takes three to five hours, so it does not fit a meal stop. Drop it in the morning and collect it in the evening, Monday to Saturday.

Do you clean the boot after a family trip?

Yes. The boot carpet is vacuumed and cleaned in every full interior detail, which helps if luggage or food boxes have been spilling.
