Interior detailing for Gohana cars

A car in Gohana often works as hard as a tractor. Farm dust, cane season grime and muddy boots all end up inside, and our Sonipat studio cleans it out in a single day.

A family car that also does farm work

Around Gohana, the same car takes the family to a wedding on Sunday and carries sacks, tools and fodder to the fields on Monday. The back seat folds down for a load of seed, the boot holds a muddy spade, and boots come straight in from the field without much of a wipe.

Farm dust is heavier than city dust and it is full of soil and plant matter. It settles deep into carpet and fabric and gives the cabin an earthy smell, especially once it gets damp. When the mill is crushing, sticky residue from cane lorries and the roads near the mill comes in on shoes and hands too.

There is no DetailingRider studio in Gohana. The car comes to our Sonipat studio, around 35 km away, and pickup and drop can be arranged on request if you cannot spare the day.

What we usually find in a Gohana car

These are the jobs that come up again and again on cars from Gohana and the villages around it.

Soil in the carpet

Dried soil packed into the carpet fibres, mostly on the driver side and in the boot.

Sticky marks

Sugary residue from cane season on the steering wheel, gear knob and door handles.

Folded rear seats

Dust and straw trapped in the seat hinges and under the folded seat back.

Damp smell

Carpets that got wet in the monsoon and never dried, leaving a musty smell.

Dust in the vents

Fine field dust behind every AC slat, blown back out whenever the fan starts.

A Toyota cabin before and after cleaning

A dusty, well-used cabin, then the same car after a full interior detail at our studio.

Cleaning soil and sticky residue properly

Soil and sugar react badly to water if you rush. Wet them straight away and they turn to mud and syrup that soak deeper into the fabric. So we always start dry. Dried soil is broken up with stiff brushes and vacuumed out before any liquid touches the carpet.

Sticky marks are softened with steam and lifted with a cleaner that dissolves sugar, then wiped off. Only after that do the seats and carpets go through hot water extraction, which pulls the remaining dirt out with very little water left behind.

The result is a carpet that is clean right down to the backing, not just on top, and seats that dry within a few hours.

Getting rid of a musty smell

A musty smell almost always means water got under the carpet at some point. Maybe a window was left open in the rain, or wet boots sat on the mat for a week. Perfume does nothing for it, because the smell is in the padding underneath.

We extract the carpet thoroughly and dry it with fans and airflow. For a smell that has been in the car for months, we follow up with an enzyme cleaner or an ozone treatment. Our monsoon car care tips explain how to stop it coming back.

Simple habits for farm country

Keep a set of heavy rubber mats for field days and a separate set for family trips. Put a tarpaulin or an old sheet down before loading sacks or tools in the boot. Knock your boots against the door sill before you get in.

For the paint, which takes its own beating from cane lorries, see car detailing for Gohana. Interior rates are on the price list.

Questions people ask

Is there a DetailingRider studio in Gohana?

No. Gohana cars are cleaned at our Sonipat studio, around 35 km away. Pickup and drop can be arranged on request.

Can you clean dried mud out of the carpet?

Yes. We break it up and vacuum it out dry first, then extract the carpet. Wetting dried mud straight away only pushes it deeper.

The steering wheel feels sticky. Can that be cleaned?

Yes. Sugary and greasy residue comes off with steam and a suitable cleaner, and the wheel is then wiped and dressed so it is not slippery.

We fold the rear seats a lot. Do you clean underneath?

Yes. We fold them down, clean the hinges and the floor under them, and clean the back of the seat as well.

Is the trip to Sonipat worth it for an interior clean?

For a car that does farm work, yes. A roadside vacuum removes the top layer, while a full detail gets the soil and smell out of the padding. Most people plan it for a day they are in Sonipat anyway.

What are your working hours?
