Ceramic coating for Kharkhoda car owners
Dry winds, open fields and long straight roads mean Kharkhoda cars are dusty most of the year. A coating keeps that dust from wearing the paint down.
Three things that wear paint down around Kharkhoda
None of them is dramatic on its own, but together they age a car's finish quickly.
Dust carried on dry wind
Fine soil from the fields settles on the car every day, and wiping it off dry scratches the clear coat.
Hard borewell water
Washing with groundwater and letting it dry leaves white mineral rings that slowly etch into the paint.
Long hours in the sun
Cars parked in open courtyards and fields bake through the summer, which fades the roof and bonnet first.
What changes once the paint is coated
The coating gives the paint a slick, water-repelling surface. Dust has far less to grip, so a hose removes most of it, and you stop scrubbing the car every morning. That alone keeps the swirl marks away.
Hard water still dries into spots if you leave it, but on a coated panel those spots sit on the surface and come off with a damp microfibre. On bare paint the same spots often need polishing. The layer also filters UV, so the colour holds much longer in open parking.
What sun and neglect do to a bonnet
This bonnet had dull, oxidised paint before we corrected it, the kind of damage a coating helps prevent.

Where a coating stops helping
Some stretches around Kharkhoda have loose gravel on the shoulders, and tyres fling it at the car behind. A coating will not stop those chips. Branches and hedges on narrow village lanes can still scratch a coated door too.
If you drive the Sonipat to Rohtak road every day, we will suggest pairing the coating with front PPF. If most of your driving is local and slow, the coating alone covers what matters.
How we prepare a car that has lived in the dust
Coating goes on last. Most of the day is spent getting the paint clean and level underneath it.
Soak and rinse
Snow foam and a long rinse loosen the packed dust in panel gaps, door shuts and around the badges before we touch the paint.
Hand wash and clay
A two-bucket wash, then iron remover and clay pull out bonded grit, tar and mineral deposits from hard water.
Polish
The included single-stage machine polish clears light swirls and brings faded panels back. Deeper defects are shown to you first.
Wipe and coat
A prep spray removes polishing oils, then the coating is applied and levelled panel by panel.
Cure indoors
The car stays inside, away from wind-blown dust, while the layer sets. 9H+ is cured with an IR lamp.
Grades and how long they hold up
The grade sets how many layers go on and how long the protection lasts.
| Grade | Layers | Expected life | Time at the studio |
|---|---|---|---|
| 7H | One | About 1 year | 3 to 4 hours |
| 8H | Two | About 2 years | 5 to 6 hours |
| 9H | Three | About 3 years | 1 day |
| 9H+ | Base and top coat, IR cured | Up to 5 years | 1 to 2 days |
The drive to our Sonipat studio
Kharkhoda does not have a DetailingRider studio, so the work is done at our Sonipat studio, about 30 km away via the Sonipat to Rohtak road. Expect a drive of 40 to 50 minutes depending on traffic.
Because 9H and 9H+ jobs keep the car for a day or more, many owners from Kharkhoda ask for pickup on request so they do not have to make the trip twice. Grade prices are on the price list.

Washing with borewell water? Always dry the car with a soft towel straight after, even when it is coated.
Questions people ask
Our water is very hard. Can I still wash a coated car at home?
Yes. Rinse, wash with a pH-neutral shampoo and dry the car with a clean towel before the water evaporates. Drying is the step that stops mineral spots.
Will coating stop chips from the Rohtak road?
No, a coating does not absorb impacts. Front PPF does, and the coating can be added over it for easier cleaning.
Is it worth coating a car that is mostly parked in the field or courtyard?
Yes, open sun and dust are exactly what a coating is good at handling. A 9H grade gives the best balance of layers and lifespan for that kind of use.
My car's roof has gone chalky. Can you still coat it?
We polish the faded paint first to bring back the colour. If it is badly oxidised it may need paint correction before the coating goes on.
How long do I keep the car off the road after coating?
You can drive it home once curing is done. For the first week, avoid rain and washing while the coating finishes hardening.
Do you give anything in writing?
Yes, every coating comes with a written warranty card. Cover runs from 1 year on 7H to 5 years on 9H+.
