Window tinting for Gohana, planned around the drive
Gohana is a longer trip to our Sonipat studio, so it pays to plan the visit and the curing days. Here is how to get legal sun film fitted without a wasted day.
Heat, cane season and a long drive
Gohana cars work hard. They sit at the grain market or near the sugar mill in full sun, and they do regular runs to Sonipat, Rohtak and Panipat. In summer the cabin heats up fast, and the drive to the studio itself is long enough that you want the AC working well.
Since our studio is about 35 km away in Sonipat, we suggest Gohana owners plan the visit properly. A little planning means you come once, the film cures well and you do not have to make the trip twice.
It also helps to know what film will and will not do before you set out. It will cut most of the UV, take a good share of the heat off the glass and soften glare. It will not make a car parked in the open feel like one parked in shade, so a windscreen sunshade is still worth keeping.
What to expect in each season
Film can be fitted all year, but curing time changes with the weather.
| Season | Curing time | What to expect |
|---|---|---|
| Summer | About 3 days | Film dries fast in the heat. Haze clears quickly. |
| Monsoon | 4 to 6 days | Damp air slows drying. Keep the windows up even on humid days. |
| Winter | Up to a week or more | Cold and fog slow curing. Small water spots can last a little longer. |
| Spring | 3 to 5 days | Easy curing and a good time to book before the heat. |
Which film for a Gohana car
If your car stands in the open at the mandi, the mill or a workplace for hours, ceramic film is worth the extra cost. It keeps out the most heat while staying in a light, legal shade.
Carbon film is a solid middle choice with a matte look that holds its colour. Dyed film is cheapest, but it mostly absorbs heat and tends to fade after a few hard summers.

Staying legal and seeing clearly in fog
CMVR Rule 100 requires at least 70 percent visible light on the windscreen and rear glass, and at least 50 percent on the side windows. Dark film is not allowed and police on the highways around Gohana do check.
Winter mornings around Gohana bring dense fog, and the low sun later in the day causes glare. A light legal film reduces some of that glare but still lets you pick out a cane trolley or a cyclist in poor light. Dark film makes those mornings much more dangerous.
Planning your visit from Gohana
These steps help you make the trip only once.
Book ahead
Message us on WhatsApp +91 72063 13033 with your car model so the film and a bay are ready when you arrive.
Come in the morning
An early arrival means the car is usually ready by afternoon, and you drive back in daylight.
Drive home with windows up
Keep the glass closed on the way back and for the next few days, even on the highway.
Check after a week
Look at each window in daylight. Haze should be gone. If a bubble with dust stays, message us.
If the trip is hard to fit in, ask about pickup and drop from Gohana. It can be arranged on request.
Caring for the film
Clean the inside of the glass with a soft microfibre cloth and an ammonia-free cleaner. During cane crushing season, sticky dust settles on everything, so use a damp cloth rather than a dry one.
If you are coming all the way from Gohana, it can be worth combining film with car detailing for Gohana cars or ceramic coating. See the price list before you plan the day.
Questions people ask
Is there a DetailingRider studio in Gohana?
No, Gohana cars are fitted at our Sonipat studio, about 35 km away. Pickup and drop can be arranged on request.
Can I drive back to Gohana right after fitting?
Yes. The car is safe to drive straight away. Just keep the windows up for the whole trip and for a few days after.
Is winter a bad time to get film fitted?
No, but curing takes longer in cold and foggy weather, often a week or more. If you want it done fast, spring is the easiest time.
Will sugar mill dust damage the film?
Not if you clean it gently. Use a damp microfibre cloth so the sticky dust lifts off instead of being dragged across the film.
Does film help with glare from the low winter sun?
A little. A legal shade softens the glare through the side windows, but the windscreen stays nearly clear, so sun visors still matter.
Can I combine film with other work on the same visit?
Yes, and many Gohana owners do, since it saves a second trip. Tell us when you book so we can plan the time.
What if I notice a problem after I get home to Gohana?
Send us clear photos of the window in daylight on WhatsApp first. Haze in the first week is normal, and if something does need fixing we will plan the visit with you.
