Who we are
This website belongs to DetailingRider, a car detailing business founded in Sonipat, Haryana in 2019, with studios in Sonipat, Panipat and Hardoi. In this policy, "we" and "us" means DetailingRider and "you" means anyone using this website.
We are a small business. We collect only what we need to answer your enquiry and look after your car, and we have tried to explain it here in plain words.
What we collect
We only collect information you give us, plus basic site statistics if analytics are switched on.
Your name and phone number
So we can call or message you back about your enquiry.
Email address
Only if you choose to give it.
Car details
Make, model and anything you tell us about its condition, so we can quote properly.
Messages from the quote form
Whatever you write in the form, including any photos you send us afterwards.
Basic analytics, if enabled
Pages visited, rough location at city level, device type and how you reached the site. This does not tell us who you are.
Why we use it
We use your details to call you back, give you a quote, book your car in and contact you about a job we are doing or have done. If you have a warranty with us, we keep the job record so we can honour it.
We do not use your details for anything unrelated to your enquiry or your car. We will not add you to a marketing list without asking first.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not turn into a booking are kept for up to 12 months and then deleted. If you become a customer, we keep your name, contact number, car details and job records for as long as any warranty on the work is running, and after that only as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Analytics data, where used, is kept in summary form and is not linked to your name.
Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data to anyone.
Your details may pass through services we use to run the business, such as our website hosting, our phone and messaging apps, and our accounting software. These are used only to store or deliver your information, not to market to you. We will share information with authorities only if the law requires it.
Cookies
This site uses only the basic cookies it needs to work, such as remembering that a form has been sent. If analytics are enabled, an analytics cookie counts visits and pages viewed. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings and the site will still work.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, you can ask us to tell you what personal data we hold about you, to correct anything that is wrong or out of date, and to delete your data when it is no longer needed for the purpose you gave it for. You can also withdraw your consent at any time, which means we stop using your details from then on.
Where we must keep certain records by law, such as invoices, we will tell you what we have kept and why. If you are not happy with how we handle your request, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
