Why paint wears quickly around Hardoi

Drive a car around Hardoi for a year and look at the bonnet in low sun. You will see fine scratches from sandy dust that was wiped off dry, and small chips along the front from trips on the highway towards Lucknow or Shahjahanpur. Trucks, buses and loaded sugarcane lorries share that road, and loose material comes off them at speed.

Summers are long and hot, the monsoon brings mud and standing water, and winter mornings start with fog that leaves a grimy film on the car. None of that is unusual for central UP, but together it ages paint faster than in a big city with clean roads and covered parking.

Most of this damage is slow. Nobody notices one chip or one dull patch. Then the car is three years old, the front looks tired and the only fix is polishing away clear coat or repainting a panel. Film is about stopping that slow wear before it starts.

See what PPF covers

Choose a coverage to see which panels get film, then watch the seven steps we follow on every panel. The stone chip and self-healing tests show what the film does on the road. Drag the car to look around it.

What the film actually does for you

PPF is a clear layer of TPU film that sits between the road and your paint.

Takes stone chips

Gravel that would chip bare paint hits the film instead. A damaged piece of film can be replaced without touching the paint.

Heals light scratches

Fine marks from dusty cloths fade when the film warms up in the sun, which is rarely a problem in a Hardoi summer.

Keeps original paint

Buyers check for repaint. Factory paint under film is one of the easiest ways to hold resale value.

Resists stains

Bird droppings and tree sap sit on the film's top coat instead of etching straight into the clear coat.

Caring for PPF on dusty roads

Do not wash the car for the first week after fitting. After that, always rinse sand and mud off with plenty of water before any cloth touches the car. Dry wiping is the main cause of dull, scratched paint in dusty towns, and film suffers from it too.

In the monsoon, wash off mud from the lower panels rather than letting it dry hard. Our article on car care in the monsoon covers the rest. If you want the car to stay cleaner between washes, ask about ceramic coating in Hardoi too.

PPF comes with a written warranty, up to 5 years depending on the film. Prices for each coverage level are on the price list.

Questions people ask

Can I get PPF done at the Hardoi studio?

Please call the Hardoi studio first to check which film options they can fit and when a slot is free. The full range of coverage and finishes is available at our Sonipat head office.

Is PPF worth it if I mostly drive in town?

For short town trips, partial front film or even a ceramic coating may be enough. Full front PPF makes more sense if you drive the highway to Lucknow regularly. Our PPF vs ceramic coating article explains the difference.

Will sand scratch the film?

Wiping sand off dry can still mark the surface. Light marks usually heal when the film warms up, but deep scratches from grit do not. Rinsing before washing avoids most of it.

Does the UP heat affect the film?

Good TPU film is made to handle strong sun and does not yellow like cheap PVC film. Heat helps the top coat heal light scratches. Parking in shade where you can still extends its life.

What should I ask when I call?

Tell them your car model and how you drive, then ask which coverage they suggest, which finishes are available and how long the car will be needed. Ask about the written warranty for the film they fit.

Can film go on a car that is not new?

Yes, as long as the paint is sound. The paint is cleaned and swirls are corrected before fitting, because film shows what is under it. Deep chips will still be visible under the film, so some owners get them touched up first.

Where can I check prices?

Coverage prices are on the price list. The final figure depends on the car's size and how much of it you want covered.
