Window tinting for cars parked all day in Kundli
If your car sits in an IMT Kundli factory lot from morning to evening, sun film is one of the simplest ways to make the drive home bearable. We fit it at our Sonipat studio, a short drive up NH-44.
The factory parking problem
Most cars in IMT Kundli are parked in open lots from about 9 in the morning to 6 in the evening. In summer the glass works like a greenhouse. By the time the shift ends, the seats and steering wheel are hot to the touch and the cabin smells of warm plastic.
Those hours of sun also fade the dashboard and dry out the seats faster than you would expect. Window film cuts the UV that causes that damage and blocks part of the heat, so the car is more comfortable when you get in.
Where Kundli drivers feel the difference
These are the situations Kundli customers usually mention when they come in.
Getting in after a shift
The cabin is still warm, but not as harsh, and the AC cools it down sooner.
The KMP and NH-44 junction
Waiting in slow traffic near the border with the sun on your right arm is easier with film on the side glass.
Afternoon glare
Driving west in the evening, film takes some of the glare off the side windows.
Dashboard and seats
Less UV means the plastics and upholstery fade and crack more slowly.
Why ceramic film suits a parked car
A car that stands in the sun for nine hours gets the most out of ceramic film. It rejects infrared heat with ceramic particles instead of dark dye, so it works in a light shade that stays within the law.
Carbon film is a good choice if the car is parked under a shed or you mostly drive early and late. Plain dyed film is the budget option, but it absorbs heat rather than rejecting it and can fade after a couple of summers.

Legal shades only
Kundli sits right on the Delhi border, and checkpoints on NH-44 do stop cars with dark glass. Under CMVR Rule 100 the windscreen and rear glass need at least 70 percent visible light, and the side windows at least 50 percent.
We fit nothing darker than that. A legal shade also means you can still see the road clearly when you drive home after a late shift in winter fog.
March and early April are a good time for Kundli owners to book. The film cures quickly in mild weather and is ready before the worst of the heat arrives.
Getting it done from Kundli
Most Kundli customers plan it around a working day or a Saturday.

Drive up NH-44
Bring the car to the Sonipat studio, or ask about pickup and drop, which we can arrange on request.
Fitting
We clean the glass, cut and fit the film, squeegee out the water and seal the edges. It usually takes a few hours.
Drive home with windows up
Keep the glass up for 3 to 5 days while the film cures.
Keeping film clean around factory dust
Fine dust settles on the inside of the glass too, especially if you drive with the windows open. Wipe it off with a damp microfibre cloth rather than a dry one, and use an ammonia-free cleaner. Small haze spots in the first week are part of curing and go away on their own.
While the car is with us, you may want to look at ceramic coating for Kundli cars or PPF for NH-44 stone chips. Film rates are on the price list.
Questions people ask
Is there a DetailingRider studio in Kundli?
No, Kundli cars are fitted at our Sonipat studio, a short drive up NH-44. Pickup and drop can be arranged on request.
Can I drop the car before my shift and collect it after?
Yes, if you book ahead. Film for a whole car usually takes a few hours, so a drop in the morning and collection in the evening works well.
Will film stop the dashboard fading in a factory lot?
It slows it down a lot, because quality film blocks nearly all UV. Heat still gets in, so a sunshade on the windscreen helps as well.
Do Delhi border checkpoints check window film?
Police on both sides of the border do stop cars with dark glass. That is why we only fit shades within the CMVR Rule 100 limits.
Is ceramic film worth it over carbon for a Kundli car?
If the car stands in open sun all day, usually yes, because ceramic rejects more heat at the same light shade. If it is parked under cover, carbon is often enough.
Can I go straight back to work on the highway after fitting?
Yes, the car is ready to drive. Just keep the windows up for the next few days.
Do you fit film for customers from Narela and the border area?
Yes, owners from Narela and the villages around the Kundli border come to the Sonipat studio as well. Book ahead so the car does not have to wait.
