Paint correction for cars in Rai
Fallout from the industrial estate sticks to paint and etches it in the heat. We strip it off properly, then polish the clear coat smooth at our Sonipat studio.
Industrial fallout and why it matters
Rai has a large industrial estate right next to NH-44, and the factories there put fine metal and chemical particles into the air. These land on parked cars, bond to the clear coat and, in summer heat, start to eat small pits into it.
On a white or silver car you can see it clearly as tiny orange or brown dots that no shampoo will move. On dark cars it shows up as a rough, gritty feel when you run a hand over the bonnet. Either way, polishing a car in this state without cleaning it first just drags the particles across the paint.
We are about 12 km away at our Sonipat head office. There is no studio in Rai, but the drive is short enough that most people drop the car in the morning and collect it in the evening.
Decontamination comes before any polishing
For Rai cars this part of the job takes longer than it does for most others.
Pre-wash
A thick foam loosens road film and soot so it rinses away without touching the paint.
Iron remover
A spray that reacts with metal particles and turns purple as it dissolves them. On white cars from the industrial estate the whole panel often bleeds.
Clay bar
Lifts whatever the chemical did not, until the paint feels glass smooth.
Thickness check
Every panel is measured with a paint gauge so we know how much clear coat we have to work with.
Correction
Only now does the machine go on, removing swirls, water marks and the shallow pits left by fallout.
Water spots and etching on white paint
White and silver cars are the most popular colours we see from Rai, and they hide swirls well. What they do not hide is etching. Hard water dried in the sun and fallout baked onto the roof leave dull rings and specks that look like dirt but are actually in the clear coat.
Light etching polishes out in one or two stages. Deeper pits become much less visible but can leave a faint trace on very close inspection.

Which stage fits your car
The amount of fallout and swirling decides the level more than the age of the car.
| What we find | Suggested level |
|---|---|
| Orange specks, smooth paint after clay, light swirls | Decontamination plus single stage polish |
| Specks plus water rings and visible swirls | Two stage correction |
| Rough, pitted paint and heavy swirls on a dark car | Three stage correction |
| Pits that reach through the clear coat | Touch-up or panel paint |
Who brings cars in from Rai
Most of our Rai customers fall into one of these groups.
People working in the industrial estate
Cars parked outside factories all day take the worst of the fallout and usually need decontamination every few months.
Staff and families near the education city
Cars parked under trees get sap and bird marks that etch quickly in the summer heat.
Daily NH-44 commuters
Highway soot and quick washes leave swirls on the darker panels.
What polishing will not solve
Correction only works inside the clear coat. Stone chips from the highway, scratches that catch your fingernail and any spot where you can see primer need touch-up or panel repair through our dent and paint work. We point these out at inspection so you know what to expect.
Rough roadside rubbing is the other thing to avoid. A heavy compound on a car still covered in fallout grinds the particles into the paint and leaves deeper marks than before.
Stopping the fallout from coming back
If your car stays in the industrial estate every day, the fallout will return. Washing every week or two and rinsing in between keeps it from bonding. A ceramic coating after correction makes the surface far harder for particles to grip, and many Rai customers pair it with PPF on the front for highway chips. Rates for each correction stage are on the price list.
Questions people ask
What are the orange dots on my white car?
They are iron particles from industrial dust and brake dust that have bonded to the clear coat. Shampoo cannot remove them. An iron remover dissolves them, and a clay bar takes off whatever remains.
Can industrial etching be fully removed?
Light etching usually polishes out completely. Deeper pits improve a lot but may leave faint marks that you can only see up close.
Is there a studio in Rai?
No. Rai cars come to our Sonipat head office, about 12 km away. Call +91 70561 03055 to book, or ask about pickup and drop.
How often should a car parked in the industrial estate be decontaminated?
Every three to four months is a sensible guide for cars parked outside factories daily. A coated car can go longer, because less sticks to it.
Can I just have the car decontaminated without polishing?
Yes. If the paint underneath is in good shape, a wash, iron remover and clay may be all it needs. We will tell you if correction is not necessary.
How long will the car be at the studio?
Decontamination with a single stage polish usually finishes the same day. Two and three stage correction takes one to two days.
