Window tinting for Rai industrial estate cars
Cars in Rai spend the working day outside factory gates in full sun. Light, legal sun film makes the evening drive home cooler, fitted at our Sonipat studio nearby.
A working day in a factory car park
Rai is mostly a workplace. Hundreds of units, long rows of cars parked outside gates and no trees to speak of. By the end of a shift in summer, the inside of a car can be far hotter than the air, and the first ten minutes of the drive back on NH-44 are spent waiting for the AC.
Window film cuts the UV and part of the heat that comes through the glass. A car with good film still gets warm, but it is much less harsh to get into, and the dashboard and seats age more slowly.
Factory parking adds another problem. Soot and fine metallic dust settle on the glass inside and out, and many people wipe it off with whatever cloth is in the door pocket. On filmed glass that habit does real damage over time, so we explain how to clean it properly when you collect the car.
Habits that ruin window film
Most film that fails early in Rai fails for one of these reasons.
Dry wiping factory dust
Fine metallic and soot particles act like sandpaper on a dry cloth. Always wipe with a damp microfibre.
Ammonia glass sprays
Common household sprays can cloud the film over time. Use an ammonia-free cleaner.
Lowering windows too early
Rolling the glass down in the first few days can lift the bottom edge of the film.
Stickers and suction mounts
Peeling a sticker or a phone mount off the film can pull it away from the glass.
Cheap dyed film
It fades and bubbles after a few summers in open parking.
Ceramic or carbon for open parking
A car in open sun for eight or nine hours gets the most from ceramic film. It blocks the infrared part of sunlight with ceramic particles, so it works well in a light, legal shade.
If your unit has covered parking, carbon film is often enough. It blocks a fair share of heat, has a matte finish and holds its colour. Neither film contains metal, so your phone and FASTag work normally.

Legal shades for daily NH-44 use
Rai commuters pass police checks on NH-44 every day. CMVR Rule 100 sets the minimum at 70 percent visible light for the windscreen and rear glass, and 50 percent for the side windows. Dark film can mean a challan and sometimes having it peeled off by the roadside.
We only fit shades within those limits. A light film also keeps the road clear on the drive home after a late shift, when the highway is busy with trucks and the service lanes are poorly lit.
Fitting it around your shift
Our Sonipat studio is about 12 km from Rai, so many owners drop the car on a day off or a Saturday.

More protection for industrial area cars
Industrial fallout is hard on paint as well as glass. Read about ceramic coating for Rai cars, which makes the dust easier to rinse off, and car detailing in Rai for a full clean. Film rates are on the price list.
Questions people ask
Is there a DetailingRider studio in Rai?
No, Rai cars are fitted at our Sonipat studio, about 12 km away. Pickup and drop can be arranged on request.
Can you collect the car from my factory in Rai?
We can arrange pickup on request. Message us the unit location and the time you want the car collected.
Will factory dust get trapped under the new film?
Not if the glass is cleaned properly first, which is why we spend time on the glass and seals before fitting. Trapped dust is the most common sign of a rushed job.
My film has gone cloudy. Can it be cleaned?
If the cloudiness is on the surface, a gentle clean may help. If it is inside the film or the film has faded, it needs to be replaced.
Is a light film enough for a car parked all day?
Yes, if it is ceramic. The heat you feel is mostly infrared, and ceramic film blocks a large part of it without being dark.
Can I put my parking pass sticker on the tinted glass?
Better to stick it on a part of the windscreen without film. Peeling a sticker off later can lift the film with it.
Do you fit film on company cars and pool vehicles?
Yes. Tell us how many cars and the models, and we will suggest days so the vehicles are not all off the road together.
